Whetstone, Ariz. -

Authorities are investigating a rollover vehicle accident in Whetstone, Ariz. that left a 56-year-old woman dead.

On Friday evening just after 7 p.m. deputies from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office responded a one vehicle rollover accident on Sanders Road near Bowers Road in Whetstone, according to a press release.

Deputies and medical personnel from the Whetstone Fire Department responded to the area and located a 2005 Ford sedan and Florence Cates of Huachuca City deceased at the scene.

The initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was traveling east on Sanders Road when Cates' vehicle failed to negotiate a sharp curve which apparently resulted in the vehicle rolling over and ejecting her. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
