TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - This year's Thanksgiving dinner at the Gospel Rescue Mission will marks its 25th Anniversary banquet.
Last year, volunteers served more than 2,500 meals to the homeless and needy. This year, they're aiming for 3,000. The traditional turkey dinners will be complete with all the trimmings of stuffing, cranberries, vegetables, and of course pumpkin pie.
It will take place on Wednesday November 27th from 11am to 2pm on thebarricaded street in front of the Men's Shelter, located at 312 W. 28th Street. The date in advance of Thanksgiving allows people to take advantage of meals put on by the Salvation Army and other groups on Thanksgiving itself.
More than 350 volunteers will be part of the meal.
