TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Nogales school was put on lockdown and students were sent home early as a response to a threat found this morning.

The threat was brought to the school in court documents delivered by the guardian of a student at Challenger Elementary School, 901 East Calle Mayer.

According to the superintendent of the Nogales Unified School District, the documents contained a threat to the effect of "Challenger will be sorry" from an individual involved in a domestic dispute.

The school was scheduled for early release today at 12:45, but students were sent home at 10 a.m.

Police are looking to question the person who allegedly made the threat.
