A developmentally disabled man was airlifted to a Valley hospital after he fell from a second-floor running track at an area community center.
The 26-year-old man apparently climbed over a railing at the Rio Vista Community Center in Peoria and plunged between 20 to 25 feet onto a basketball court below, said city of Peoria spokesperson Bo Larsen.
He landed on his feet and rolled onto his back.
First responders treated the man, who was flown to St. Luke's Hospital suffering a cut on his head.
His condition is not available.
The man had been on an outing with his group home at the time of the accident.
