(RNN) - Defending SEC champion Florida, 2-1, is coming off a 30-point win over Arkansas-Little Rock and should have another cakewalk on Monday, Nov. 18. The Gators play Southern at 7 p.m. at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the UF campus.

Southern is a SWAC team with a 1-3 record. Calvin Godfrey, the Jaguars' 6-9 center averages a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds per game. Malcolm Miller, a 6-6 guard, scores 14 points per game.

The Gators' Casey Prather is leading the team with 22.3 points per game, Kasey Hill is scoring 11 per game. Dorian Finney-Smith, a transfer from Virginia Tech, came off the bench and scored 17 against UALR, mostly in the second half when the Gators exploded for 59 points.

The Gators have to replace their top three scorers from last year and are looking to re-establish themselves as one of he best defensive teams in the nation – opposing teams shot 38 percent against UF last season.
