BATON ROUGE, LA (RNN) - Despite making only five of their 23 attempted 3-pointers, LSU dominated New Orleans for much of the game, winning 81-54.

The Tigers (2-1) never trailed in the first half despite going almost seven minutes without a field goal, leading 32-28 at the break. After halftime, LSU didn't let the Privateers (1-1) get any closer than eight points.

Andre Stringer scored 19 points for LSU while freshman Jordan Mickey had a season-high 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tim Quarterman led the Tigers with five assists and two steals.

The Tigers host the Southeastern Louisiana Lions on Friday, Nov. 22.
