TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A former Tucson Police Department officer formerly accused of sexual assault now faces felony charges related to fraud.

24-year-old Benjamin Gaballa was fired from TPD in August.

According to police, TPD employees raised concerns that Gaballa was in possession of prohibited or illegal weapons.

Police say authorities searched his home on Nov. 19 and found a motorcycle in his garage that he had reported stolen in June of 2012.

Gaballa was booked into the Pima County Jail on one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, one count of forgery and one count of defrauding secured creditors.

This is in addition to sexual abuse charges filed against him in September after he was accused of sexually assaulting a jail inmate, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
