Lady Techsters fall to Arkansas State, 91-68

JaQuan Jackson scored a career high 23 points, but the Lady Techsters fell to Arkasnas State 91-68 on Monday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.

 

Arkansas State raced out the gate to an early 23-5 lead and never looked back, leading at the half 42-21. Arkansas State shot 67 percent from beyond the arc led by Hanna Qedan who was three of four from three point range in the first half. Arkansas State dominated on the boards, out-rebounding the Lady Techsters 44-26.

 

Louisiana Tech was led by Jackson's 23 points, but also scoring in double digits were Whitney Frazier, who added 15 and Chrisstasia Walkter who scored 13 points. LA Tech had a good night at the free throw line shooting 22 of 28.

 

Arkansas State was led by Qedan who led all scorers with 26 points, as well as Aundrea Gamble who scored 23 points to go along with eight rebounds. The two finished the night a combined seven of ten from the three point line.

 

The Lady Techsters next action comes Friday, November 29 when they take on UNO in a 6:30 p.m. tip off in the Thomas Assembly Center.
