Arizona came back from a double digit deficit to beat Drexel 66-62 in the semifinals of the NIT Season Tip-off at Madison Square Garden.
The Dragons looked to run away with the game in the first half, at one point leading the fourth ranked Wildcats by 19. Drexel held a nine point lead going into halftime but with stellar play by Nick Johnson, Arizona went on a 25-4 run, eventually taking its first lead with just under seventeen minutes to go.
Johnson scoreD 20. Kaleb Tarczewski scored 15 with 10 rebounds. Aaron Gordon also had a double-double, 11 points AND 12 rebounds.
Arizona will face either Alabama or Duke in the NIT Season Tip-Off Championship Friday. Action begins at 4 p.m. Tucson time.
