TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor is not until Saturday, but local elementary students got a special history lesson on the attack today.

They also were able to see pieces of the sunken battleship USS Arizona.

200 fourth and fifth grade students from Elvira Elementary School attended a special presentation by the school's music teacher Andrew Desautels.  Desautels has access to many artifacts from the attack on Pearl Harbor, as he is also the National Secretary for the USS Arizona Reunion Association.

The association is responsible for supporting the survivors and their families from the Arizona.  The group also supports the families of those killed when the battleship was sunk.
