TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima County Sheriff's Department officials warn about icy conditions on the road to Mt. Lemmon.

Pima County is expecting another night of low temperatures. Sheriff's deputies are on standby monitoring the situation, ready to close Catalina Highway if it becomes too dangerous to drive on because of icy conditions.

On Thursday, many people spent the day making their way up the mountain to play in the snow after authorities reopened the road.

With cold temperatures in store for the next couple days, authorities ask drivers to slow down on the road because it can get slippery with snow and ice.

Businesses in Summerhaven closed Thursday because of the road closure, but plan to reopen Friday if conditions permit.
