Corrections officer accused of inappropriate contact with inmates

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Pima County Sheriff's Department corrections officer faces felony charges for allegedly having inappropriate contact with female inmates.

Jorge Renteria-Urias was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center and charged with nine counts of unlawful sexual conduct, department officials reported today.

He is on unpaid leave pending his termination.

    A strong storm moved through midtown Tuesday night August 22, and brought down several trees. One tree fell on building 7 at the Talavera Apartments at Flowing Wells Road and Rodger Rd.
