TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Downtown retailers are getting ready for the holidays.

Expect to find festive lights around the more than 50 locally owned retail shops downtown by Dec. 8, thanks to the Downtown Tucson Partnership joining up with IBEW Local 570. The public will be able to shop, eat and enjoy the sights at night with a pleasant holiday feel, according to a press release.

This is the second year IBEW Local 570 and The Downtown Tucson Partnership has partnered up to give the Downtown area a jolly makeover.

"This is a wonderful kick-off for this holiday season," Downtown Tucson Partnership CEO Michael Keith said.

Many volunteers will help to set up the lights Sunday.
