Wreaths across America heading to Tucson to honor veterans

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Wreaths across America is asking for Tucson's help to reach their goal for wreath placement. 

The goal – 500,000 wreaths for veterans graves in 2013.  There are several ways to help with this goal – sponsor a wreath; add or reinstate a location; add or reinstate a fundraising group; volunteer; or host a ‘What a difference a day makes campaign'.

Wreaths across America will be placing wreaths on veterans graves across the country in the coming weeks.  They are expected to arrive in Southern Arizona soon.

    The total number of homeless people in Pima County is going down, according to the new data from the group of volunteers that counts them. The data collected by the Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness (TPCH)  shows that the total number of "persons experiencing homelessness" in Pima County is 1,380. The numbers were gathered on the night of January 23, 2018, by 244 volunteers on the 2018 Street Count. 

    The total number of homeless people in Pima County is going down, according to the new data from the group of volunteers that counts them. The data collected by the Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness (TPCH) shows that the total number of "persons experiencing homelessness" in Pima County is 1,380.
