TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

An Ajo man convicted of kidnapping and killing a 7-year-old girl will spend the rest of his life in prison.

A jury sentenced Kyle Alegria to prison for life without any chance of parole today.

Last month, the same jury decided not to give Alegria the death penalty.

Alegria was convicted of first degree murder, kidnapping and sexual conduct with a minor in the death of Rhia Almeida.

Her body was found in 2009 in a wash behind Alegria's home in Ajo.
