A hiker reported missing on Mt. Lemmon was found this morning, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
A DPS helicopter located the man and his dogs. According to officials, the man waved to the helicopter and seemed to be doing OK.
Search officials said the man will continue to hike down the mountain, as he is in an area where crews are unable to airlift him out. They will monitor the hiker's progress down the mountain, if he is not out soon crews will be sent in to bring him out.
The hiker was reported missing, according to PCSD and a search began about 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. He had last been seen in the Lemmon Rock area around 5 p.m. on Tuesday and had not planned to be out overnight, stated PCSD officials.
