LSU's White named to All-SEC Freshman Team

BIRMINGHAM, AL (SEC) -

LSU freshman defensive back Tre'Davious White was the only Tiger named to this year's SEC All-Freshman Team.

Arkansas, Ole Miss and South Carolina each placed a league-leading four members on the team, while Florida had three members.

Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell on Wednesday was named the SEC's Freshman of the Year.

Florida defensive back Vernon Hargreaves on Tuesday was named to the All-SEC First Team.

    Jeremy Johnson passed for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the first half and Nick Marshall returned from suspension with a 19-yard scoring run to lift No. 6 Auburn to a 45-21 opening victory over Arkansas on Saturday.
    The Auburn offense didn't slow down a bit, even with Nick Marshall a spectator for half the game.
