Williams, not Carey wins Doak Walker award

Orlando, FL (KOLD) - Boston College's Andre Williams won the Doak Walker award over Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey, an honor bestowed upon the best collegiate running back in the nation.

Williams rushed for over two thousand yards, leading the country in both total yards and yards per game average. Carey finished second in yards per game average and fifth in total yards.

There was some good news Friday though. For the second straight year, Carey was named Walter Camp First Team All American. Last season Carey was the first Arizona offensive player to earn the honor and the first back to back Wildcat honoree since Tedy Bruschi in 1994 and 1995.
