TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a Huachuca City man after they said he attempted to smuggle $481,000 worth of drugs into the United States.

Authorities inspected Dolphus Kelly, Jr.'s vehicle at the Mariposa Port of Entry Wednesday. They found more than 15 pounds of heroin and almost 18 pounds of methamphetamine in the truck's dash area, according to a CBP news release.

Kelly was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations and the truck and drugs were processed for seizure.
