COLLEGE STATION, TX (RNN) – The Texas A&M Aggies had not played in 10 days, but showed no signs of rust as they beat the McNeese State Cowboys 73-60 on Saturday.

The Cowboy (2-7) also hadn't played since Dec. 4, and it showed as they trailed the Aggies (8-2) for the entire game.

Guard Jamal Jones led all Aggies scorers with 16 points, and guard Alex Caruso added 13 points and seven assists in the victory.

Texas A&M was nearly perfect from the free throw line, going 13-of-14 – a season high from the foul line - but shot 46 percent from field goal line and 45 percent from beyond the arc.

Not counting two losses at neutral sites, the Aggies remain undefeated at home and will not see their first true road test until they face SEC competition on Jan. 8 at Arkansas.

Next up for the Aggies will be the Oklahoma Sooners at the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday, Dec. 21.
