Businesses cited, charged with selling alcohol to minors

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Some Cochise County businesses are in trouble for selling alcohol to minors, according to police.

Police said seven business were cited or charged with selling alcohol to minors during a Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force operation on Saturday.

The task force sent teen volunteers to attempt to buy alcohol at 42 establishments in Sierra Vista, Benson, Tombstone and Bisbee. The locations were based on previous liquor violations, citizen complaints and other factors, according to a news release.

Police cited the Sierra Vista Food Mart and Paul's Pub of Sierra Vista; Stock Exchange and Bisbee Grand Hotel of Bisbee; and Mustang Shell in Whetstone for selling to minors. Canyon General in Hereford and Palominas were charged with selling alcohol to minors, according to the release.
