TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is on a mission to find permanent homes for its pets this holiday season.

The HSSA will not charge an adoption fee on all of its animals this weekend, with the exception of a $16 license fee for dogs over 3 months old, according to shelter officials.

The main shelter at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. will extend its hours from 11 .am. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 21 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 22.

Food trucks will be at the main shelter Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., in addition to hot cocoa and apple cider.

All HSSA sites will offer the no adoption fee deal.
