TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Fire Department responded to a 9-1-1 call in regards to smoke coming from a commercial building.

According to Capt. Chris Jurvig, the building was located in the 4600 block of East Speedway Blvd.

Firefighters took hose lines interior to search for possible victims and to locate the source of the smoke.

The first arriving ladder company secured utilities and made their way to the roof to verify that there was no fire problem coming from the HVAC system.

As fire crews made their way to the rear of the structure they were able to locate the fire and contain it to a small area avoiding further damage to the structure.

There were no injuries to firefighters and no businesses in operation were affected.

Fire investigators are on scene conducting their investigation.
