The father of a Brown County inmate who died in the jail is speaking out. He believes the sheriff's office is behind his son's death.
The coroner called inmate Zachary Goldson's death a homicide. The sheriff's office, which runs the county jail, insists Goldson hanged himself.
"Your children are supposed to outlive you and now I've buried two and it's killing me. It was a week before his birthday, he was finally reconnecting with his mother. Things were going well for him," Michael Goldson.
"It may not have been intentional, I believe that might have accidentally killed him and then tried to cover it up."
Michael Goldson believes the video of Zachary escorted through the jail isn't him. He says it's from a previous jail sentence years ago, citing the lack of tattoos on his body.
"They just altered the date and the time on it to make it look as if it was during that time. It may not have been intentional, I believe that might have accidentally killed him and then tried to cover it up," Goldson.
