Wanted Arizona sex offender caught in Wisconsin

(Tucson News Now) - The U.S. Marshals Service says it has caught a man wanted for sex crimes against children in Prescott after he was released from jail on lesser charges.

The Service says Mark Neuman, 57, was arrested in Sauk County, Wisconsin, by members of a U.S. Marshals led task force and Sauk County Sheriff's Department after a three-month fugitive investigation.

Authorities say Neuman was wanted by the Prescott Police Department on felony warrants issued in September 2013.  He's accused of trying to lure a 10-year-old girl for sex after showing her pornographic photos and making suggestive and explicit comments.  He's also accused of showing pornographic material to an 11-year-old boy.  Neuman is also facing drug charges.

The Marshals Service says Neuman was arrested for the drug offenses, but he was released from jail before a grand jury handed down an indictment on the sex-crime charges.

Neuman was booked into the Sauk County Jail in Wisconsin and is awaiting extradition to Arizona.
