TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A local model train club is bringing some joy to the Southern Arizona VA Hospital today and the public is invited to check it out.

The VA is located near Sixth Ave. and Ajo Way, with the model train show taking place inside building four.  The doors open at 9 a.m. and admission is free.

Show organizers, Tucson Garden Railway Society, stated the display will give VA patients and families something fun to look at while waiting for appointments, but the display is also open to the general public.

The show will feature both old and modern trains, along with full scenery effects – this includes mini mountain ranges, buildings and even a circus.  Members of the club will also be on hand to answer questions about the display and the trains.

Doors open today at 9 a.m. and the trains will be on display until 4 p.m. today in the R.E. Lindsey Jr. Auditorium in Building 4.

For those who are not able to make it out today, the trains will be on display on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors can enter through the Veterans Blvd. Gate at 3601 S. Sixth Avenue, proceed east and turn left to parking lot "Q" for parking requirements.
