Sun Tran schedule for New Year’s Day

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The following times apply for Dec. 31 through Jan. 2, 2014 for Sun Tran routes 1 – 99; as well as Sun Express Routes 101X – 312X:

Regular weekday service will be provided on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.  On Jan. 1, Sunday hours will be utilized for Sun Tran routes; while there will be no Sun Express Service provided.   

Sun Tran's Customer Service Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2, but will be closed on New Year's Day.   While the Administrative offices (3920 N. Sun Tran Blvd.) will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2, they also will be closed on New Year's Day.

Sun Van Service will be on the same hours as Sun Tran; with Sun Van's Customer Service Center open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Sun Shuttle Service, which provides transit service in Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina, Sahuarita, Green Valley, San Xavier, Tucson Estates, Southeast Tucson and Rita Ranch will have normal operating hours on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.  There will be no Sun Shuttle service on Jan. 1; except dial-a-ride service in Oro Valley, which will provide holiday service from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for ADA qualified passengers only.

Passengers are advised to consult Sun Tran's Ride Guide, visit www.suntran.com, or call Sun Tran's Customer Service Center at (520) 792-9222; for persons with hearing and speech impairments, call TDD: (520)628-1565 for specific route times and bus information.
