UA football team headed to Shreveport

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

This morning, the University of Arizona football team got up pretty early. The team packed their gear and got on a bus headed for the Tucson International Airport.

The Wildcats left around 8:45 a.m. They are on there way to Shreveport, LA. The U of A is playing in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl. Most may know the bowl as the Independence Bowl.

The Cats will take on Boston College Eagles on New Year's Eve at 10:30 a.m. Arizona time. The game will be televised on ESPN.

This is a match up between the ACC and the Pac-12. Both teams ended the regular season with 7-5 records. You also have to All American Running Backs that will battle it out on the field.

Senior Andre Williams from BC, who had over 2,000 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns this season.

For the Wildcats Junior Ka'deem Carey had over 17 hundred yards this season and 17 touchdowns also.

There are still tickets left for the game. They range in price from $25 to $47. One thing that the bowl committee is doing which is pretty cool. If fans can't make it to the game. They are asking fans to buy tickets to the game and donate them to a member of the military in Shreveport.
