Crash closes Interstate 10 near Casa Grande

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A serious car crash has closed Eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Casa Grande. 

According to ADOT, the highway is closed at milepost 180 and there is no estimated time to reopen. 

Drivers are advised to expect delays. Travelers seeking an alternate route can exit I-10 eastbound at State Route 587 (exit 175), take Casa Blanca Road east, go south on Bluebird Road to Casa Grande Road. 

Then, go south on Casa Grande Road and turn right onto SR 187, which will return drivers to I-10 at milepost 185. 

Westbound travel on I-10 has been reduced to one lane and motorists should expect delays.

    Every year, 60,000 children are seen in emergency rooms because they got into medicine. Keith Bosen, director of the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center, said they get about 10 calls a day about a child under the age 6 getting into some sort of medication.
