TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Fire Department has taken over answering emergency calls and dispatching for the Mt. Lemmon Fire Department.

Mt. Lemmon gets around 400 calls each year and many of them are sledding accidents.

Drexel Heights used to dispatch for Mt. Lemmon, but TPD has an enhanced mapping system that will help with faster response times.
