TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Sun Rideshare, a program of Pima Association of Governments, launched a new travel rewards program today.

Those who carpool, vanpool, walk, telecommute, bike or ride the bus can participate in the rewards program and earn points by logging their trips within Pima County online in the Sun Rideshare travel calendar.

One point is granted for each trip. Officials said riding a bike to work, for example, is worth one point.

Current Sun Rideshare users and new users, who register in the travel database, are eligible to win monthly rewards, including Visa gift cards of $25, $50 or $100, according to a news release.
