ORACLE, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

People in the town of Oracle are on edge after a woman claims she was kidnapped and assaulted for the second time in three weeks. Pinal County Sheriff's called a meeting Thursday afternoon to answer questions about the crimes.

The alleged attacks happened to the same person and at the same place. The point of the meeting was to calm people's fears but just the opposite happened when the victim's mother had an outburst.

"You guys need to be in fear, you need to be in fear of these men," said the victim's mother. "They're out to kill my daughter. They didn't succeed the first time so they came to my house and abducted her from my back door."

Emotions ran high at a community meeting in Oracle on Monday. A packed room of fearful residents listened as a mother talked about her daughter's attackers.

"If it weren't for my dogs, my daughter would have not, they would have taken her and finished her off," said the mother.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu says the victim, a 34-year-old hearing impaired woman, was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted three weeks ago. Three men reportedly left her for dead in the desert.

Then just a few days ago, another similar incident happened. This time, two guys dragged her out back and assaulted her with some type of weapon.

"If anything this is a targeted assault, abduction, situation," Paul Babeu, Pinal County Sheriff, said.

Some neighbors were critical of the sheriff's department's investigation.

"We have many neighbors around who are in close proximity and I'm wondering why we haven't been approached by detectives?" said one neighbor.

Sheriff Babeu says he has eight detectives following up on leads and deputies are doing extra patrols of the victim's home.

The victim's mom says arrests can't come soon enough and had this to say to the people responsible.

"I want you guys off the streets. I do not want anybody else hurt."

The victim is physically okay but is still recovering emotionally. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office hopes to have a sketch of the suspects by tomorrow.
