    Firefighters are battling flames after a brief lightning storm near Elgin ignited several fires that combined into one on Saturday afternoon, according to Sonoita Fire Department PIO Katie Goodwin. Sonoita
    600 acres outside of Elgin have burned. Sonoita Fire Department is on the scene and more units are on their way.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) – Health and fitness will be celebrated at the 30th Annual Senior Olympic Festival starting Jan. 14. Approximately 100 events, at over 30 venues throughout Tucson will be offered at this largest organized annual senior activity.

A variety of events are available from relaxing leisure walks, to intense power lifting. Volleyball, hand and foot, and Texas Hold'em are the new games scheduled for 2014.

On Jan. 25, put on your dance shoes for the Circus Circus Dinner Dance at the Hilton East Ballroom.
