Woman, 2 young children hit by car in Phoenix

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 24-year-old woman and two young children were struck by a car in northwest Phoenix early Friday night.

Phoenix said the vehicle hit the woman and 1 and 3-year-old girls at the intersection of 51st and Glenrosa avenues about 4:50 p.m. Friday.

The children were taken to the Phoenix Children's Hospital and the woman was also taken to the hospital for evaluation. Phoenix police said the injuries were minor.

Police are investigating the events leading up to the collision.
