SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Blood left behind at the scene of a burglary has led to an arrest more than a year later.

Sierra Vista Police apprehended 23-year-old Christopher Dutcher IV after the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab returned DNA results from the blood linking him to the scene, along with other evidence found at the scene.

The April 2012 burglary took place at Apache Animal Hospital, then located at 2145 South Highway 92.  Investigators say two people lowered themselves from the roof to the inside of the animal hospital, forced entry into a safe and took several controlled narcotics.

The second suspect involved in the crime remains at large.
