AAA Arizona officials celebrated the success of its New Year's Tipsy Tow service.

The organization said about 100 service vehicles were deployed in Tucson and Phoenix to provided service to nearly 500 people, according to a news release.

"We recognize that New Year's Eve is the most celebrated night of the year," said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. "We're proud to be able to lend our services that kept hundreds of drunken drivers off Arizona roads, making them safer for everyone over the holiday."
