(FORD MOTOR COMPANY/CNN) - Ford has kicked off the 2014 Detroit Auto Show with some big changes to one of America's top-selling vehicles.
On Monday, Ford lifted the curtain on its new F-150 pick-up.
The biggest change is in the weight, Ford says the aluminum body is 700 pounds lighter than the current model.
That means greater fuel efficiency, though Ford isn't saying what kind of mileage drivers will get.
Other new features include a remote-controlled locking tailgate, and video cameras to make parking and backing up easier.
