TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Thousands of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies have been arriving in Tucson and this weekend they go on sale.

Troops around Tucson will be picking up their boxes from noon to 7 p.m. today; more than 900,000 boxes of cookies are expected to be sold in Southern Arizona during the 2014 ‘cookie season'.

The Troop to Troop program is expected to receive 20,000 of those boxes, it part of the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona program that sends cookies to troops serving overseas.

To find the closest cookie box go to www.girlscoutssoaz.org or type Girl Scout Cookie Finder into your app finder to get the mobile app.

With the sale of each box, a Girl Scout learns about money management, business ethics, people skills, goal setting and decision making.
