    Lightning sparks fire near Elgin

    Firefighters are battling flames after a brief lightning storm near Elgin ignited several fires that combined into one on Saturday afternoon, according to Sonoita Fire Department PIO Katie Goodwin. Sonoita
    600 acres outside of Elgin have burned. Sonoita Fire Department is on the scene and more units are on their way.

All national parks in the country will allow visitors free access this weekend in honor of National Park Week, which runs from April 19 to 27, 2014. 

Park entrance fees are waived for 133 parks out of the 401 in the National Park system.

The other 268 never charge an entrance fee.
