Marana students to compete in District Spelling Bee

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The top 28 spellers from grades fourth to eighth will be competing at MUSD's annual District Spelling Bee on January 22. 

At 10:15 a.m. these top MUSD spellers will compete to be the Spelling Bee Champion. 

The group began with 5,500 students two months ago, which represented 11 elementary schools and two middle schools; the group is now down to the final 28.

After this the top four spellers will go on to compete at the Pima County Spelling Bee in February at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind. 

The public is invited to attend the MUSD District Spelling Bee, which is free and will be held at the Mountain View High School auditorium (3901 W. Linda Vista Blvd. Tucson, 85742)
