Police say an employee at a Green Township convenience store used a vacuum cleaner to fight off a suspect attempting to rob the store with a large knife.
Officers received reports of an attempted robbery around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bridgetown Mini-Mart, located in the 4200 block of Harrison Avenue.
Authorities say the suspect entered the store brandishing a large knife and demanded cash from employees. Police say an approximately 40-year-old male suspect entered the store wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Officers say that an employee used a vacuum cleaner to fight off the suspect who fled in an unknown direction.
Two employees were in the store during the incident. No one was injured.
