2 from Arizona face arraignment in Vegas shooting

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 21-year-old Arizona woman and her boyfriend are due in Nevada state court in a Christmas week shooting that left a motorist critically wounded on the Las Vegas Strip.

Brittanie Merritt-Burwell is set for arraignment Wednesday after her indictment last week on attempted murder, battery with a weapon and shooting into a vehicle charges.

She's accused of shooting another motorist in the neck late Dec. 23 in a traffic dispute.

Joshua Youngblood faces a concealed weapon charge, alleging he kept the weapon.

Police say the wounded motorist was treated for critical injuries at University Medical Center.

Merritt-Burwell told police she's from Glendale, Ariz. She could face decades in prison if she's convicted.

Youngblood didn't provide a home address.

They were arrested Dec. 30 at a fast-food restaurant in Las Vegas.
