TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
A homicide suspect now faces first degree murder charges for a crime committed on Tucson's south side last year.
Tucson Police booked 18-year-old Hector Molina into the Pima County Jail Wednesday in possible connection to the June 2013 death of 20-year-old Rafael Siquieros-Tapia on Old Vail Connection near Country Club Road.
Authorities found the victim lying in the middle of the street around 7:30 a.m. on June 13 and detectives determined he and Molina were engaged in a drug interaction that officials said led to the shooting death of Siquieros-Tapia, according to a news release.
Detectives have not ruled out the potential of additional arrests.
Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
