Gusty east wind this afternoon could pick up dust and reduce visibility. Watch for blowing dust, especially on I-10 near Casa Grande.
These winds will hold through the late afternoon before slowing down. Expect thick cloud cover to stay with us all night and some of those clouds will also develop some rain.
However, it looks like we are just too dry at the surface to get much significant rainfall. I would not be surprised to see quick/light showers passing through, but these would be the exception.
By Saturday morning the clouds will begin to clear and we will be back to sunny skies Sunday. Another short-wave trough will dip through on Monday, but likely we will just see some high clouds again with no rain.
