MFD investigating the cause of a fire on Mobile road

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that left damage to a home in Montgomery.

Officials say the fire, which occurred on Mobile road near Fairview Ave. Sunday, was contained to the kitchen and was quickly extinguished.

The residents were not at home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time as investigation continues.
