Public invited to participate in roads survey

Posted: Updated:
PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The time for the public to speak up about road improvements in Pima County is now.

The Pima Association of Governments is looking for the public's input on roads and transportation. Complaints are heard all the time about the condition of roads across the county, and now is the chance for members of the community to voice their opinions.

The PAG has launched its 2045 Regional Transportation Plan.  Here are a few of the elements the plan will consider – land use and growth, public transportation as well as traffic issues and transportation safety.

This survey includes plans in the near future, coming up in the next five years, and the distant future happening in the next 20 years.

When survey results are complete, says the PAG, it will identify the goals, challenges and projects for the region over the next 30 years, in addition to guiding how transportation funds are spent in the community.

PAG will be conducting the survey from now until the middle of March.
