TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Vendors for the gem and mineral shows around Tucson are arriving every day and setting up shop, meanwhile volunteers are still needed to help guide the thousands of tourists who are expected to visit the area.

A special training session is happening tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center.  Volunteers will be responsible for answering questions at information tents.

So far about 100 volunteers have signed up, but the Downtown Partnership is hoping for even more, as the gem and mineral show is two weeks long.  This means there will be plenty of shifts for the volunteers to work.

For those interested in signing up contact Brandi Haga, with the Downtown Tucson Partnership via email brandi@downtowntucson.org.
