Montgomery Zoo fire killed 2 goats, not 1

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Officials say a fire at the Montgomery Zoo Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two goats. It was previously reported that only a single animal died.

Firefighters with the Montgomery Fire Department responded to the Zoo's petting zoo barn Tuesday and extinguished the blaze.

Officials say the preliminary cause of the fire was electrical in nature. The investigation is ongoing.

No zoo employees were injured in the blaze.
