Wanted IN man arrested in Phoenix

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man wanted in Indiana for attempted homicide was arrested in Phoenix Friday night.

Derrich Love, 30, is a documented gang member wanted in connection to a brutal shooting in Gary, IN.

On Dec. 11, Love and his brother, Ruben Love, allegedly purchased illegal drugs from a home. They later returned to victim's house to rob him, and the victim was shot in the head multiple times.

The brothers allegedly fled the scene with the victim's money and belongings. The victim was severely injured but survived.

A warrant was issued in Gary, IN for the Love brothers two weeks ago. Derrich Love fled the state. Authorities believe he has been hiding in AZ since early Jan.

He was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Phoenix near 55th Avenue and McDowell Road.
