Alfonso's next big move

Posted: Updated:
Tucson, AZ -

When Tom and Nancy Alfonso opened their Gourmet Olive Oil and Balsamic shop in St Philips Plaza in November of 2011, they wouldn't have guessed  how popular their offerings  would become.  With the increased interest in home cooking , the high quality of their offerings and the health benefits of fresh olive oil ,and the addition of Blu the Cheese Shop at Alfonso in late 2012, their customer base  continued to grow so much that they realized a second location was needed.

The new Alfonso's (and Blu the Cheese Shop at Alfonso) will open on Thursday, February 13th at 7854 North Oracle in the Plaza Escondida Center,(Southeast corner oracle /magee) offering a great new option for northwest shoppers,   Exciting offers at the new store during opening week will include: 10% discount on all olive oil and balsamic products, accessories, and accompaniments, in store tastings, cooking demonstrations and more.  On opening day the store will be open from 10am to 7pm with an official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Oro valley Chamber of Commerce at  4:00pm.

Much of the success of Alfonso's is due to the incredible  freshness of the products - all of which are stored in special airtight stainless steel containers.  Ultra premium, first cold press extra virgin olive oils are featured seasonally at Alfonso's with those from the Northern Hemisphere - California, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, etc. in fall and winter and from the Southern Hemisphere -South America,  Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. in the spring and summer.

Their Balsamic Vinegars are traditionally aged in Modena, Italy. New flavors are constantly being rotated into the wide selection of over  35 offered regularly at Alfonso.  Guests are encouraged to taste all the different olive oils and balsamic vinegars - all part of the education process that makes visiting an Alfonso's such a great experience.

The St Philips Plaza store is open  Monday thru Saturday from 10am to 6pm and on Sundays from 9am to 3pm.  The Plaza Escondido store is open Monday thru Saturday from 10am to 70pm and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm.  For more information on Alfonso  Gourmet Olive Oil and Balsamics visit www.alfonsooliveoil.com  or on facebook at AlfonsoOliveOil.
